Exhibition
The next Exhibition at Linden House will be held at the end of August
2008 and will include a new collection of paintings which are influenced
by the work of Gustav Klimt. JohnLuce has had an interest in this
artists work for more than twenty years but has only recently decided
to develop a collection of his own using some of Klimt's techniques
and iconography. The paintings in this collection are all original
with John's own models as subjects and John's own painting style
quite evident.Some of the compositions however are directly taken
from works by Gustav Klimt and developed by John in his own way
to make works which are new. The fascination with the work of Klimt
has come about because it is the perfect melding of the figurative
and the decoratively abstract.
